Week Six, Completes The Mix...
Roster set for Finals!!
A "Standing Room Only" crowd and again the audience was blown away by
outstanding performances, and another full slate of songwriters of all
genres. The evenings' high score went to Jae Fortier with runners-up Calvin
Locke, and Rodney Brent sharing prizes courtesy of Unleash The Artist, MICA
Directory, Axe Music, and Snow Publishing. And add three more Songwriters'
Mic'05 vests from Calgary Songwriter.com and Imagewear by Mark's Work
Wearhouse, into the pool of contest "Alumni" being seen weekly throughout
the venue. The judges this week were Jim Cressman of Key Entertainment;
Murray Cameron, Performing Artist; and with an unexpected vacancy opening up
on the panel, long time original music supporter Rob Cameron graciously
consented to sitting in and lending his experienced ear to the "toughest
seat in the house". A special word of thanks to Sara, Andrew, the great sound from Marco Levesque and all the
staff at the venue who work so hard each night of the contest.

other arrangements.
Songwriters and audiences are excited and are asking, "When is the next
Songwriters' Mic?" Rest assured with the success of this event, more will
follow, but for now we're excited about our "mix" of finalists, and are
looking forward to the Finals night on December 5th. See you there!
