Week Five, All Original, All Live…
Audiences Awed by the Array!!
The house was full and the air was charged with electricity from the power of the performances that continue to amaze, and entertain everyone present.
Each week, audiences of all ages have been witness to the quality of the songwriting and performance skills of the contestants, and this week was no exception! The night’s highest score went to Jasmine Whenham who together with runners’ up Debrah Ellestad and Russell D.Cayzer, shared in a grand cache of prizes courtesy of sponsors Axe Music, Ironwood Stage & Grill, Snow Publishing, Canada Disc and Tape. As usual, all contestants received prizes from Unleash the Artist, MICA Directory, and Calgary Songwriter.com. And, the top three contestants were presented with beautiful Songwriters’Mic’05 fleece vests courtesy of Calgary Songwriter.com and Imagewear by Mark's Work Wearhouse. It’s wonderful to see the growing number of previous weeks' “alumni” sporting their vests, and continuing to come out and support the event. As we prepare for the fast approaching last night of qualifying, and build towards the Finals Night, we know the audiences will be enthusiastic, and appreciative, and the performers will continue to entertain, and amaze us all!!
