When In Doubt - Just Go For It

Songwriters who believe with the sweat of their hard work can relate to Raj and his ‘crazy week’.
"When in doubt - just go for it!" says Raj (aka Cybermatrix) who just 7 days ago set himself the task of entering the K-OS remix contest, an online community of musicians site at indabamusic.com. He had one goal in mind: to get his remix into the top 10.
Raj says he began working on his track early Sunday afternoon, finished it Tuesday morning and uploaded it at the last minute, just a few hours before the deadline.
”All the odds were against me (to be honest I thought I had no chance) - it was the last week before the closing date (3rd February), I only had 2 days to get it done, people had already started submitting their entries all the way back in November, 2008, and there were already 100+ entrants whom I was up against. At one point, the thought of throwing it all in. But something inside me was telling me to just "go for it" and at least try, so I did.“
Even though he wished he had more time to tweek his entry he admits, “I had 2 choices - either submit nothing at all or at least submit something - I decided on the latter. (I figured it'd be pretty stupid not to take advantage of such a great opportunity).“
So he plunged ahead through stressful uploading glitches and with the support of friends, family, online contacts and a lot of ‘nice random people'. The outcome? In just four days he had climbed all the way from 79th place to the TOP 5! exceeding his original goal. Raj finished in 3rd place.
